It’s been a busy week for the DropCatch team, readying new features, fixing bugs and tweaking the site to better suit the desires of the community.
First, we now have a blog! This is where we’ll be putting up downtime alerts, notifications for bug-fixes that effect large parts of the community, and information about new features we’re pushing out. While we’re always happy to get your emails at DropCatch Support, we’re also hoping that this will be a good channel for our users to give us feedback on.
Next up, we’ve added a new feature to DropCatch.com: Landers! When you’re viewing any of the grids in DropCatch (the displays that show domains in auction, backorder or are in your history), you’ll be able to click the domain names to view more detailed information. Right now, it’s a little sparse, but our feature team has some ideas for what to put on there and we’re always looking for suggestions about what the community would like to see.
Lastly, there are a few rules changes on how auctions work in regards to timing (the FAQ should be updated soon to reflect this): Auctions are now 3 days long instead of 5, if a bid is placed within the last 5 minutes the auction’s end time is bumped to 5 minutes after the bid was placed (this will continue to stack until no bid is placed to cause an extension), and auctions will now be starting at 2:00 PM Mountain Time and ending at 1:00 PM Mountain Time.
